News and Reviews - - 9x

A few people at our field now have the 9x radios.  Scott Page started with his less than a year ago and with no experience has learned to make many modifications to improve the radio's performance and looks.  All these modifications are not necessary, but a few are highly advisable and not difficult to perform.   In a few months Hobby King will be releasing a long anticipated sequel to the cult hero 9x radio --

Here is what Hobby King has said about the upcoming replacement:
Some features
Backlight is standard
Has inbuilt and module based antenna system
Button config makes sense
Spare parts avail from the start
Switch and pot quality far better than previous version.

The 9XR will be $50.00 and targeted at the standard user that likes flying, not fiddling with his radio or looking for a shady spot to see his LCD.
I think Futaba, JR and Spektrum are about to get a hard kick in the nuts.

Well... on to the review of the current model.
