Indian Summer Jamboree October 7-9

posted Oct 2, 2011, 3:35 PM by Higgins Field
This is the 20th annual Indian Summer.  This year we'll try a couple new ideas and see how they pan out.  Of course most of the event will be the traditional fun fly and lie swap.  New activities will be, 1. once or twice each day a Pylon Race will be held with SuperFly EPP foam flying wings.  I'm sure for spectators this event alone will be worth twice the cost of admission.  We will also have an antiaircraft range -- where anybody with a steady hand on a few dollars can pay to shoot paintballs at RC planes flying on the antiaircraft range.  There will be night flying Saturday night starting at dusk.  And when the mood strikes we'll have a speed trap to see who can go the fastest.  After lunch on Saturday there will be an auction, and after lunch Sunday there will be the raffle drawing.
