The Indian Summer Jamboree is over, but the great time we all had will last a lifetime. Contest Director, John Hanson, arranged perfect weather for Friday and Saturday. Highlights included a Saturday Morning flyover by a stearman biplane blowing smoke, and a .75% sized P-51 Mustang making a two high speed low passes. Thanks to Jim Reynolds for organizing that. Other highlights included Jim McIntire winning one year free dues in a drawing. Garry Jones was awarded a "Safety First" award after nearly slicing off part of his finger in a prop on Friday. A fantastic 3D demonstration thrilled the crowd at noon on Saturday. Boyd Petty flew his new "Beast" biplane several times and we have photos of his spotter, Bill Bowen, ducking in behind Boyd as he touched the rudder to the ground just a few feet from him. 28 Pilots flew nearly 100 different planes and helicopters. Finally on Sunday Scott Page helped KEPR reporter, Holly Zuluaga, fly his Electrostik using the wireless buddybox.
