AMA Membership Validation

Validating  current AMA membership has always been a hassle for members and club secretaries; after all when you ask a person to "show you their card" it's almost like calling them a liar.  But it's both prudent and required to have proof positive that a person is in fact a member for the current year.

You may be pleased to know that this year card demonstration will not be necessary for joining the club -- however it is still necessary at AMA sanctioned events.  The reason is that AMA members can be validated instantly using an online page for club leadership.  This technology makes joining online much easier logistically.   If we had Internet at the field, we could also do this for sanctioned events, but that's not currently an option.

As you can see, fake ID is pretty easy to pull off.
